COVID-19

This document describes the Covid-19 recommendations for West Philly Porchfest. The Covid-19 recommendations are in alignment with the City of Philadelphia Department of Public Health guidelines for “Social Gatherings” and “Outdoor Performance and Events”. This document does not replace the need to follow all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

General Recommendations

If you feel ill, do not attend

  • Screen yourself before you go out. If you have any cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, sore throat, muscle pain, or new loss of taste or smell, get tested for COVID-19 and otherwise stay home and away from others.
  • If you have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the past 10 days, stay home.

Wear a mask

  • Individuals who are not fully vaccinated should continue to mask when outdoors, when 6 feet of distance cannot be maintained.

Always keep your mask on when gathering with others, whether you are indoors or outdoors, except:

    • when eating and drinking; and
    • when you are at least 3 feet apart from others outside of your group.

But I’ve been vaccinated…

  • Current recommendations for masking outdoors apply to unvaccinated people.

Recommendations for Performers and Hosts

Performers

  • Unvaccinated performers should wear face coverings when feasible. These could either be masks or face shields.
  • It’s best practice to create distance between performers and audience. Place barriers or distance markers around stages to keep audience members more than 6 feet from the stage or performance site.

Hosts

  • Ask attendees to remain at least 6 feet from others not in their group.
  • If you have people over, make sure to offer them a place to wash their hands or put out hand sanitizer if outside.
